The Victim Services Unit needs the support of the community in order to continue to provide services to victims of violent crime. Listed below are ways in which you may want to assist:

Volunteers are an important component of the program and are constantly in demand. Volunteers must meet professional standards, pass a background check, and be willing to share a valuable resource with us...their time. The Victim-Witness Assistance Volunteer Program recruits, trains and places student and community volunteers, who work side-by-side with Victim Advocates at the Victim Assistance Center. Volunteers play an integral role in providing social services, advocacy, community outreach and referrals as well as helping victims complete applications for Victim Compensation.

How to Apply

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. They must also consent to and pass a background check. Volunteers must be available to work a minimum of two hours per week during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
